Superior, WI's FAQs

Why is it important for me to visit the dentist if I brush and floss regularly?

Many signs of decay are undetectable to the human eye in early stages, so our office uses DIAGNOdent. This machine emits light to find cavities and other oral deterioration before they become a nuisance, which will save you time and money. Repairs are much simpler to make before harmful bacteria spreads. The staff at Hill Avenue Dental would like to see patients every six months to check that there’s no damage

Are teeth whitening kits that I can receive from the dentist really more effective than over-the-counter treatments?

While teeth whitening treatments that you can obtain over the counter could lighten your enamel, their effects won’t last. Usually, they’ll do more harm than good, because ingredients in over-the-counter kits are typically acidic, and will damage your enamel. Drs. Doug and Doug Clark can provide a take-home teeth whitening kit that corresponds with the health of your teeth and your lightening expectations.

What precautions do you take to limit patient exposure to contaminants?

Nothing is more important than your wellbeing. The clinical team at Hill Avenue Dental is well-trained in sanitation techniques, and we meet and exceed them all. Each room is meticulously prepared as though a beloved family member is the next one to be treated in that operatory.

I have a chip/crack on my tooth. How can I repair it?

Hill Avenue Dental has different methods to fix surface damage on your teeth. For minor damage, we can perform dental bonding, in which we use a natural-colored resin to fill and pave over damage. Porcelain veneers can cover cosmetic injuries completely, and we have CEREC one-visit crown technology to correct more serious problems.

I want my front teeth to look better but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?

Mrs. Clark and Clark have numbers of ways to improve the look of your front teeth without the use of unsightly braces. For slightly crooked or unevenly worn teeth, a bit of reshaping and the addition of porcelain veneers may be sufficient to give them a bright, uniform look. We would be happy to talk with you further about the option that best suits your individual situation.

Does your office accept dental insurance?

Yes! Hill Avenue Dental files your dental insurance for you! We're in-network with Delta Dental and we'll submit to any other dental insurance company for your convenience. Contact us to find out more about our insurance guidelines.

What different payment options do you accept?

We accept cash, personal checks and all major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Your insurance plan co-pay is due at the time of your visit. Hill Avenue Dental also works with CareCredit, a third-party financing company, to help make our healthcare more obtainable for our patients.
